REVISED POSTING FOR PART TIME DISTRICT TREASURER-2023-24

REVISED POSTING POSITION AVAILABLE 2023-2024 PART-TIME DISTRICT TREASURER The position of Part-Time District Treasurer will be an annual appointment by the District, working directly for the Wyandanch Board of Education.
The annual re-appointment occurs during the Reorganization Meeting in July each year.
The Part-Time District Treasurer will work approximately 20 hours per week.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Depositing monies and other valuables in such depositories as designated by the Board of Education; Disbursing funds for the school district as ordered by the Board of Education (check signing); Act as custodian for all school district funds; Completing Budget Status Reports, Revenue Status Reports, Treasurer Summary Report (Monthly), Bank Reconciliations (Monthly), manage Cash Flow; All reporting as indicated above and any additional reporting that may be deemed necessary.
It is also expected that the PT Treasurer, on occasion, may be asked for information to be provided to the Superintendent and/or the Business Official.
It is anticipated that all such shared information with the School District Personnel will be communicated with the BOE, such that there is communications transparency at all times.
Immediate Supervisor: Wyandanch Union Free School District Board of Education Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Accounting or a Business related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience in School District Finance Hours: 20 Hours Per Week Duration: 2023-2024 School Year Salary: $39,000.
