Description of Company: Hakimian Capital is a New York-based direct private bridge lender, specializing in complex and time- sensitive bridge loans ranging from $1 million to $50 million.

Industry: Commercial Real Estate Financing and Private Equity Management Open Position and Description of Duties: Hakimian Capital is currently seeking to fill a full-time accountant/bookkeeping position with a qualified candidate looking to progress his or her accounting career at the company.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, has very strong analytical skills, very attentive to detail, familiar with QuickBooks, proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, and with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include: ➢ Recording journal entries ➢ Reconciling various QuickBooks cash accounts to bank accounts on a daily basis to ensure the accuracy of the firm’s cash on hand.
➢ Making timely payment of all operating bills of the company and its sub-entities.
➢ Monthly billing for all active real estate loans which will include transferring data into QuickBooks to generate invoices and remitting to the firm’s borrowers.
➢ Responsible for communicating with investors regarding profit disbursements ➢ Assist our CPA with monthly and year-end financials as well as yearly audits and taxes for parent and sub-entities.
➢ Responsible for the preparation of 1099INT’s, 1099 MISC’s and 1098’s using Magic Form and the timely filing of all 1099, 1098, and 1096 forms with the IRS.
➢ Assist with miscellaneous Ad Hoc accounting projects including creating schedules for our borrowers, auditors, investors, etc.
➢ Pre-closing and post-closing review and comparison of all loan documentation with corresponding closing checks as well as making sure they are deposited in their respective accounts.
➢ Miscellaneous administrative office duties such as office supply management, answering phone calls, running errands, scheduling meetings and conference calls and more upon requests of management.
