POSITION OVERVIEW
The Financial Analyst, Operational Excellence is responsible for ongoing support of new process related improvements and Operational Excellence initiatives.
This role will assist with the building and creation of SOPs and branch operation processes and provide support for efficiency improvements.
This role will be responsible for providing branch financial and statistical analysis as needed and for administration and reporting on various financial and accounting platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Cost Management
Sends out Jobs with GP > $20,000 & > ($500), consolidates confirmations.
Sends weekly WIP report.
Sends out WIPs outside of KPIs.
Supports branches with timely reconciliations of WIP and escalates as needed.
Daily reporting of flash report ( GP by branch and variances from prior day )
Assists with management of jobs with no revenue.
Assists with management of older Accruals.
Assist with management of A/P Claims.
Reports monthly GP by branch , YOY analysis.
Reports monthly GP by customer, YOY analysis.
Analysis and reporting of trends, anomalies, exceptions to be reviewed with focus on data quality.
Vector
Sends out bi-weekly outstanding items.
Supports branches with timely reconciliations and escalates as needed.
Identify areas for automated improvements.
Vendor analysis to identify ability to remove need for manual postings.
Coordinate with IT on issues, opportunities & improvements.
Data Analysis
Create template(s) and report monthly branch financial analysis.
Create and report monthly client financial analysis with variances to prior periods as determined.
Work with applicable departments to automate reports including testing.
Work with applicable departments to automate remaining financial KPIs.
Identify blind spots in analysis to help mitigate risk and improve visibility
Other
Ongoing support for new process related improvements.
Ongoing support of Operational Excellence initiatives.
Assists with building/writing of SOPs and branch operation processes.
Support efficiency improvement projects.
Other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or equal level by experience a plus.
MS Office and other IT skills: basic MS Word, MS Outlook, and strong MS Excel including pivot tables
Cargo Wise preferred.
Industry experience of 3-5 years
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
