Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team.
The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and will ideally grow into a Controller position over time.
Duties:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Stay updated on financial concepts, regulations, and best practices
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks)
- Familiarity with financial services accounting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
