Responsibilities:
1.
Manage all financial aspects of our mechanical contracting projects using QuickBooks Desktop software.
2.
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
3.
Track project expenses, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs, to ensure accurate job costing and billing.
4.
Generate and analyze financial reports, such as job profitability reports, budget vs.
actuals, and cash flow projections.
5.
Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for upcoming projects.
6.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
7.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both electronically and in hard copy format.
8.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as vendors, subcontractors, and clients, to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
9.
Support the CFO with assorted tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
1.
Proven work experience as a bookkeeper or similar role in the construction or mechanical contracting industry.
2.
Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop software, Microsoft Office & other relevant accounting software.
3.
Solid understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing, progress billing, and retention tracking.
4.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
5.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7.
Familiarity with prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll reporting is desirable.
