*The Responsibilities of the position are as follows:*
* Establish a working knowledge of accounting/auditing procedures and tax laws.
* Perform procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
* Assisting in areas of audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services
* Preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
* Earn the confidence, trust and respect of clients and colleagues.
* Continually develop technical skills and industry knowledge
* Demonstrate initiative, independent thinking and sound business judgment.
* Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner.
*Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications:*
* Undergraduate or Masters Degree in Accounting B.
S.
in an accredited 150 hour Accounting Degree Program, or M.
S.
in Accounting Program or MBA program with a concentration in Accounting
* All candidates must meet the educational coursework requirement for the NYS 150-hour education requirement for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) prior to full-time hire.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organization skills
* Ability to travel to client locations.
* A willingness to work in a team environment.
* Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
* General computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Some experience in an accounting environment a plus
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
