*Project Estimator*

, is actively looking for an Estimator to join our growing team! In this role, the individual will work closely with management to further cultivate existing business activities, manage customer interactions and expand sales channels.
The Estimator will source and prioritize leads, build multiple sales channels, develop bids, and manage the bid follow-up process to ensure that new business goals are being achieved.
*JOB DESCRIPTION*
As an Estimator at Wm.
Erath & Son, you will work directly with the company’s leadership on a range of new business activities and customer engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Provide bids for multiple commercial construction projects
· Obtain drawings, construction specifications and related bid documents
· Analyze blueprints to prepare accurate and timely take offs using estimating software, taking into consideration all materials, labor, equipment, transportation costs, markup and any other expenses that may affect the bid
· Define and quantify scope of work
· Generate RFI’s as needed to create an accurate bid
· Research and price materials, supplies, and equipment as directed
· Conduct post bid follow-up to facilitate understanding of scope and contract negotiation
· Set up awarded project details for subsequent production, project management and accounting functions within the company
· Assist in creation of estimating and sales spreadsheets and matrixes
· Maintain involvement in uncovering new project opportunities with prospective and existing customers
· Complete weekly progress reports for assigned area of business
· Participate in weekly project review meetings
· Manage estimating calendar, i.
e.
scheduling meetings, managing deadlines, overseeing deliverables, etc.
· Other duties as assigned
*JOB REQUIREMENTS*
· Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field
· 1-year experience in the industry
· Knowledge of Estimating and ability to comprehend specifications and construction drawings
· Understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles
· Effective communication and negotiation skills
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· A team player with leadership abilities
· Detail-oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving
· A self-starter that is results-driven
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff a plus
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Self-directed, extremely organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Able to work on very tight timelines while maintaining excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work with a diverse group of people
