We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead our cybersecurity operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing our day-to-day cybersecurity activities, implementing security measures, and ensuring our systems are safe and secure from potential threats.
The Cybersecurity Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in protecting our company's systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the cybersecurity vendors and team.
Develop comprehensive cybersecurity measures, implement these measures across the organization, and continuously monitor their effectiveness.
This includes managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption programs.
Regularly conduct cybersecurity audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses in our systems and processes.
Propose strategic solutions to address these vulnerabilities and enhance our overall cybersecurity posture.
Manage the organization's response to cybersecurity incidents.
This includes conducting thorough investigations into security breaches, coordinating response efforts, and assisting with any legal or disciplinary matters that arise from these breaches.
Work closely with departments across the organization to integrate security measures into daily operations.
This includes providing training and education to staff to ensure they understand the importance of cybersecurity and their role in maintaining it.
Lead and manage the cybersecurity team, providing them with the training and guidance they need to succeed in their roles.
Manage the budget for the cybersecurity department, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a leadership position
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred
Experience with network technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to a non-technical audience
High degree of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
The expected salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $155,000.
The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
