This flute is made with soldered tone holes, pointed keys, an inline G and a C foot.
The head joint is also stamped inside that it's made on the #6 mandrel.

Some makers are now using synthetic pads covered with Fish skin which we never use here.
The synthetic pads vibrate differently inhibiting the maximum vibration of the instrument.
In fact, it's very hard to get them to vibrate at all.
Pads made from natural materials vibrate along with the tone lending to a freer and more fluid response.
