Franz Schwarzer Zither - $500 (Huntington)

Franz Schwarzer Zither.
From my research this appears to be a “Concert A” model with serial number (#9787) indicating a 1910 build.
The instrument is in very good condition for its age, no cracks, and with all tuning keys intact and working.
The case is in fair condition but sturdy with one of two latches working but both hinges intact.
The instrument is missing nine strings and one string for the fret board.
Included is a tuning key, a metal thumb or finger pick, and about a dozen extra strings of various gauges.
I do not know much about stringing up this instrument so it’s being sold as is, but it sounds good with the strings on it.
I would guess a fresh set of strings would bring this instrument up to speed.
