Ornetts gm8 electric guitar MIJ made in Japan Handmade guitar (very rare) Ornetts was a high end brand of Japanese made electric guitars distributed Kanda Shokai.
The guitars were made by Asashi Mokko (who also produced guitars for Zemaitis, Greco New Series, Valley Arts and Van Halen EX brands).
The first Ornetts models (GM6/A, GM5/R and GM5/S) were Hamer Double Cut style, but PRS and Les Paul style guitars were also introduced.
Ornetts guitars were available from the mid 1990s to around 2008.
