We are actively seeking a Full Time Board Eligible or Board-Certified *Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner*.
This person will be responsible for the daily activities of the health care facility related to patient primary medical care and treatment under the direction of the CMO.
*In addition, you will:* * Coordinate and oversee the provision of medical services to adults and children.
* Ensure the provision of in-service education to staff.
* Work with CMO and CEO to ensure provision of quality care and services.
* Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments to evaluate current behavior and mental status of patients.
* Identify a psychiatric disorder and formulate a treatment plan.
* Provide general primary medical care and treatment to adults and children in the health care facility under the direction of physician.
* Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
* Record physical findings, and formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
* Coordinate services of the center with the services of community health facilities and programs, and community social agencies.
* Prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures; * Participate in the oversight and direction regarding appropriate chart documentation through regular interaction and communication with medical providers; Participate in establishing procedures to optimize the handling of medical records and related documents, including development of forms and reports.
*We* *require:* * *Nursing degree conferred by an accredited college or university* * *Master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing* * *New York State licensure* * Twenty-four (24) Continued Medical Education (CME) credits per credentialing cycle two - (2) years * Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification * Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills * Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred * Three (3) years’ experience treating persons with intellectual and developmental delays or disabilities preferred * Bilingual; English/Spanish preferred *Family Nurse Practitioners, *for immediate consideration, please email: *tpergola@ advantagecaredtc.
