Job Summary PSEG is seeking a summer intern to work with the Distribution Engineering & Resources team.
This Distribution Engineering & Resources is responsible for provide engineering support for economical evaluations and technical support with regards to electric service and operation of the electric distribution system.
This position will be Onsite in the Hicksville Facility Job Responsibilities The intern will assist with : Evaluate Transformer Load Monitoring reports.
Perform Transformer and Secondary load studies.
Perform Load Studies for Commercial Industrial Developments.
Perform Distribution Feeder Load Balance studies.
Perform secondary/transformer load studies for new/change services inspected by Planners.
Work within Distribution Engineering organization to create work orders and estimates for field construction.
Job Specific Qualifications Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered.
PSEG Long Island recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
Preferred skills: 3.
0 GPA.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as Auto CAD.
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions.
Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship.
We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed.
Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
