_K9 Mania Dog Training_, located in Deer Park, NY, is currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the dual role of *Office Assistant/Kennel Technician* at our dog training facility.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing our office's administrative functions with exceptional communication skills, including but not limited to handling phone calls, managing email correspondence, and interacting with clients and customers to maintain a high standard of service.
A strong passion for canine welfare is vital, as the position encompasses responsibilities for preserving the health and joy of our dogs.
This includes the upkeep of kennel hygiene through cleaning and disinfection.
The role provides an enriching opportunity to acquire knowledge in animal care and behavior, supporting our team with tasks such as feeding, grooming, and exercising the dogs under our care.
While prior experience in a pet care environment or knowledge of kennel operations is a plus, we are committed to offering thorough training for the selected candidate to ensure they are well-equipped for the role.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Collaborate with the remote team on administrative and marketing initiatives.
* Manage communications via phone and email, ensuring professional client and customer interaction.
* Organize and maintain files and records diligently.
* Conduct data entry and execute various clerical tasks as required.
* Aid in scheduling appointments and arranging meetings.
* Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in kennels.
* Adhere to our feeding schedule to provide animals with proper nutrition and hydration.
* Give animals in our care their medication as directed by veterinarians and vet techs
* Engage with the animals through walking and playtime activities.
* Assist with bathing and grooming services when needed.
*Requirements and Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
* Teamwork capabilities are essential.
* Experience in providing animal care is highly preferred.
* A deep affection for dogs is a must.
* Availability for a flexible work schedule.
* The physical ability to handle dogs of varying breeds and sizes.
* Kennel Technician Certification or similar qualifications are highly preferred.

* Monday to Friday
