This charming painting of a cabin in the woods by a river appears to be either a gouache or watercolor.

Rost and dated 1925.
The image is painted on paper mounted on pressed cardboard.
The unframed dimension is 11- 7/8 x 19- 7/8 inches.
The glass front frame is 22 x 14.
5 inches.
The color condition is strong, with no fading.
There's a tear in the upper left of the board that gets covered under the frame mat, as well as some edge wear.
A cursory search on the Internet indicated that the artist,originally from Germany, worked for the American Bank Note Company.
He also appears to have done an engraved postcard of an America's Cup boat in 1899.
