Westmoreland Milk Glass Hen with Turned Head and Split Tail - $25

Classic example of a covered milk glass candy/nut/trinket dish.
This adorable hen is made of high-quality milk glass, or opaline, a signature of Westmoreland glass.
The hen's head is cocked to the left with a red painted comb and eyes.
Her detailed feathered body has a scalloped split tail.
She is sitting on a nest.
Its base has a beaded "pie crust" rim with her nesting basket having a diamond basket-weave side pattern and wicker basket-weave bottom design.
The Westmoreland Glass "WG" Insignia which was used between 1949 and 1981 is embossed on inside of both the top and bottom of the dish.
Very good condition no chips or cracks.
