Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach
Location: LIU Post – Brookville, NY

Position Summary
The Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach is responsible for providing coaching, recruiting, and administrative assistance to the Head Coach.
This position is also responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, and the NCAA.
The Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach will work with individual student-athletes on improving their performance in the sport of acrobatics & tumbling.
This position will also evaluate student-athletes to identify strengths and deficiencies and design instructional opportunities to improve technical and strategic execution based on sound motor learning and biomechanical principles.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of experience competing or coaching the sport of acrobatics and tumbling, artistic/acrobatic gymnastics, or competitive cheer at the club, high school, or collegiate level preferred.
Qualifications
Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes.
• Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively.
• Full understanding of providing a quality student-athlete experience.
