This position will be based out of our main office (Garden City, Nassau).
The hourly pay rate range being offered is $24.
00 - $26.
45 per hour based upon degree and experience.
A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 21 PTO days per year & a matching 403(b) will be offered after 90 days of employment (your cost: about $200 per month)
This is a 40 hour shift Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
Qualified Candidates will have:
At least 1 year payroll experience using an online payroll processing system is required; UKG Software and Workforce Management preferred
Certified Payroll professional a plus
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as pertaining to payroll processing
Experience with reconciling payroll to general ledger withholding accounts
Ability to streamline workflow processes and make appropriate recommendations
Experience with Excel
Detail oriented, organized and able to multi task
Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Some Responsibilities Include:
Monitor employee timesheets for errors and adjust as needed, and communicate with manager to make corrections
Create reports as needed (related to Overtime, Employee High Hours, time off tracking, monitor “Direct Deposit” applications)
Verify with management hours above/beyond 18+ hours
Process payroll
Run post payroll reports
Filing, scanning, check printing, mailing, and employment garnishments
Review, reconcile, and create check requests for turn around checks, garnishments, and benefit providers post payroll
Review monthly outstanding check report, follow up with employees, void/ replace checks
Update 3rd party sick earnings in payroll system
Respond to inquiries as they relate to payroll via phone, email and walk-ins
